Much of what shapes our lives begins before we become aware of it.

During conflict, stress, uncertainty, or when we're making important decisions, familiar ways of responding take over before we realize it. They show up through our thoughts, emotions, sensations, impulses, and memories. By the time we notice what's happening, we're already caught up in it.

This session invites you to work through it as it happens, with skillful guidance that helps you stay with what emerges. Meeting it with enough attention, safety, and the right pace creates the conditions for something new to happen.

Why a Skillful Guide Matters

 
Meeting your experience differently is difficult to do alone.

When we become overwhelmed, defended, or disconnected, our attention naturally narrows. We react automatically and repeat familiar ways of responding. 

A skilled guide helps you notice patterns that are hard to see from the inside. They help you stay with what needs attention, discover possibilities that are difficulyt to access, and cultivate conditions that allow your experience to unfold more fully. What once felt fragmented or confusing often begins to reveal its own coherence.

Our Pace Is Different 


Shorter sessions often end just as something meaningful begins to emerge. A familiar pattern becomes visible, but there's little time left to stay with it long enough for something new to happen.

Depth emerges at a different speed than ordinary conversation. Some aspects of ourselves only become available when we slow down enough to notice them. Throughout the journey session, we intentionally slow the pace. As more of your experience comes into awareness, it can be worked with rather than simply reacted to, allowing meaningful change to unfold more naturally.

Eighty-five minutes creates enough space to meet what is asking for attention, stay with it skillfully, and begin integrating what emerges before returning to ordinary life.

What the Experience Is Like


You may arrive with something that keeps pulling at your attention, even if you can't yet explain why. It might feel confusing, painful, unresolved, or difficult to navigate.

Rather than analyzing it from a distance, we slow the experience down and follow it where it leads. We move at a pace that allows curiosity to replace urgency, making it easier to notice what has been overlooked and stay with what has been avoided. We stay with it as it unfolds. Often, what changes first is not the situation itself, but your relationship to it. From there, the next step often becomes clearer and easier to take.

You don't need to know where to begin or where the session should lead. That's part of my role. Beneath the conversation is a clear structure that helps us stay oriented while making room for whatever your experience is ready to reveal.

Over the past three decades I have facilitated thousands of individual somatic breakthrough journeys and guided more than sixty immersive emotional healing retreats and intensive group experiences. 

Across my career I have worked with people from ages three to ninety-seven, helping them move through anxiety, grief, crisis, and the loss of internal power or direction.

This session allows you to experience somatic work before committing to the Foundations Journey.
